Welcome to 7WEST! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the 7WEST mobile application and services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by 7WEST INC. ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The 7WEST Service

7WEST is a student-driven social media app created to connect students and alumni in the USA. It allows users to:

  • Share and discover posts, events, and discussions;
  • Engage with university communities via dedicated profile pages;
  • View trending topics across the student world;
  • Create and manage registered student organizations;
  • Participate in public leaderboards showing top universities and users.

All content (from individual users or organizations) is public and may appear on the relevant University Profile Page, making activity within each institution easily accessible.

Note: Content appearing on University Profile Pages is not verified, endorsed, or approved by the associated university. It is solely posted by users or student organizations affiliated with that institution and does not reflect any official views of the university.

We may remove content that violates laws, these Terms, or Community Guidelines.

2. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if:

  • You are 13 years or older;
  • You are a current or former student (undergraduate, master's, PhD, or alumni) of a university in the USA;
  • You have not been previously banned from 7WEST.

We may ask for additional information or documents to verify your eligibility and affiliation.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for all activity on your account, and keeping your login credentials safe.

4. User Content & License

You own the content you post ("User Content"). By using 7WEST, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your content to operate and improve the platform. This includes but is not limited to showcasing your posts in feeds, leaderboards, and University Profile Pages.

Note: Content appearing on University Profile Pages is not verified, endorsed, or approved by the associated university. It is solely posted by users or student organizations affiliated with that institution and does not reflect any official views of the university.

We may remove content that violates laws, these Terms, or Community Guidelines.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Post illegal, abusive, explicit, or misleading content;
  • Engage in stalking, bullying, harassment, hate speech, or threats of any kind;
  • Impersonate another person or falsify your identity or university affiliation;
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to interact with the platform;
  • Misuse organization features or submit false verification documents.

We are not responsible for any offensive, harmful, or unlawful content posted by users. If you encounter such content, please report it through the app or email us at corporate@7west.space

6. Student Organizations

Users may apply to create registered student organizations by submitting valid documentation. All requests are subject to review and approval by 7WEST. Once approved:

  • Admins (creators) can manage members and assign roles;
  • Other users may request to join based on interest;
  • All organization posts will be visible on their university's profile page.

Submitting fake documents or impersonating a real organization is strictly prohibited and may lead to permanent account suspension.

7. University Profiles & Logos

Each university has a public profile page that displays posts and activity from users and student organizations affiliated with that institution.

Important Disclaimer: 7WEST is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with any university or educational institution. Any logos, names, or imagery used in University Profiles are publicly available materials used for illustrative and contextual purposes only. We do not secure licenses for the use of university branding.

The content shown on university pages is not approved, reviewed, or published by the institutions themselves. It reflects activity and contributions solely from users and organizations who identify as part of those universities.

8. Leaderboards & Visibility

Engagement like posting, hosting events, or participating in discussions contributes to:

  • Leaderboards (top users and universities);
  • Discover and trending sections;
  • Public visibility across the platform.

All content is openly visible by design to promote discovery and engagement.

9. Intellectual Property

The 7WEST name, logo, platform design, and core technology (excluding User Content) are owned by 7WEST INC. You may not use or reproduce any part of the Service without permission.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms or Community Guidelines;
  • Provide false verification information;
  • Endanger or disrupt the community or platform (at the discretion of 7WEST INC).

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranties, either expressed or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, security, or error-free operation. While we implement reasonable security measures, we are not responsible for any data breaches, loss, or theft resulting from use of the Service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 7WEST INC. shall not be liable for any:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
  • Harm resulting from use of or reliance on the Service;
  • Offensive or unlawful user content;
  • Unauthorized access to or use of your account or data.

13. Dispute Resolution

All disputes must be resolved through binding individual arbitration. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.

14. Updates to Terms

We may change these Terms at any time. If so, we'll update the date above and notify users when appropriate. Continued use of the app means you accept the latest version.

15. Image & Logo Use and Takedown Policy

7WEST includes publicly available names, logos, and images of universities for illustrative and community navigation purposes only. These materials are intended solely to help users identify content related to their universities and are not used for commercial branding or endorsement.

We do not claim ownership or affiliation with any college or university whose name, image, or logo may appear on the platform.

If you are a representative of an institution and believe your organization's image, logo, or other intellectual property has been used inappropriately, please contact us at corporate@7west.space with the following details:

  • Your name and position;
  • The name of your institution;
  • The specific content or image in question (with a screenshot or link, if possible);
  • A clear statement explaining your concern or request.

Upon receiving a valid request, we will promptly investigate and, if necessary, remove or replace the content in question. We aim to respond to all takedown requests within 7 business days.
